I suppose that the most difficult part of starting a new blog is in finding the first words of the first post... Well, let's break the ice!
In my real life I studied architecture, music, methematics and economy; after having been working as a broker for ten years, today I own a multimedia communication and marketing company that produce audio CD, videos and is fond in all that new economy and e-commerce can offer to business and business operators. In Second Life I realize virtual locations for those, private companies or public institutions, that need it to develope their marketing strategies. And until now, I suppose there's nothing unusual. But beyond this, I founded a Virtual Private Bank and realized, alone or with some cool clients became partners, some other SL based Enterprises, clubs, malls, entire cities built on large part of regions both in Mainland and on private islands, in which we organize events, sell varius stuff, rent shops, houses, offices and so on.
Really, what is charming in SL economy is the concrete possibility to build a real business "Linden Dollar based" (that's the currency we use inworld), although it is not so easy to become a "Tycoon" as sombody still seems to believe and, of course, it is absolutely no possible to earn "tax free" money because of as soon as you get your L$ and convert them in USD or Euros or any other real currency, they become part of your fiscal charge as well as happens with each other sum you can earn in "RL".
Anyway, we'll discuss about this, I promise. In the meantime, I will post soon some shots of my lands with a short comment on each one, I'll tell you some real virtual stories, having in background the world of business in SL but, most of all, I'll illustrate here step by step, all the products we develope as a company, both in real marketing and in virtual banking matter.
The shot I'm publishing under this post is my very headquarter in SL: maybe it's not so easy to find me there, even if I work about 20 hours per day both inworld and off (like now...), but my secretary, Miss Gipsy Sands will take an appointment and I'll be really happy to meet you inworld (I'm online at about NYC time hours). Or, if you prefer, one of my promoters, will surely be able, and glad, to show you all the projects we're working around.
Welcome to my blog, welcome to Ducatillon Group Project world!
